The Role – Financial Accountant

 Job Description:

Responsibilities will include:

Successful applicants with appropriate experience will have the opportunity to oversee substantial audit assignments

Other responsibilities include

  • Accounts Preparation for smaller clients
  • preparation and submission of various tax returns including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, VAT, PAYE/PRSI and RCT returns.
  • Internal interaction/communication with management, partners and other teams within the practice
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of strong client relationships
  • Preparation of financial statements for client companies

Personal Specifications:

  • Part-Qualified ACCA/ ACA / CPA Accountant
  • At least 18 months practice experience is essential for this role

3.Accounts Assistant Limerick

A part-time arrangement (circa 30 hours per week) will be considered if desirable to the right candidate

Medium sized trading company involved in a broad range of manufacturing and distribution activities

They currently have a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant  / Part-Qualified Accountant reporting directly into the FD Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of month end managements accounts and reports including comparison against budgets and prior year
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Cost and revenue analysis
  • VAT & PAYE returns
  • Bank Account Reconciliations
  • Financial modelling – from basic data input through to cash flow, budgeting, integrated 3- and 5- year projections including P&L, Cash Flow and Balance sheet.
  • Review third party financial information and provide detailed analysis of key findings

5. Tax Senior

Main duties/responsibilities :

  • Dealing with the tax compliance affairs of a portfolio of clients both personal and corporate.
  • Dealing with various taxation consultancy/tax planning assignments as they arise.
  • Responsibility for fee billing and cash collections among own portfolio of clients.
  • Advising on bespoke tax planning assignments and implementation of same
  • Working on debt restructuring advisory assignments

Principle Requirements :

  • AITI part-qualified / finalist or a qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years tax experience. .
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. .
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & oral).
  • Good technical background.

THE CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION The ideal candidate will have up to 2 years (+) tax experience in practice and be responsible for their own client list. They must be comfortable multi‐tasking;  working on multiple assignments across a range of tax heads. The role requires strong technical analysis.

MANDATORY : AITI / CTA Finalist or Qualified  Tax generalist i.e. wide exposure across all tax heads Technically strong, adept at researching legislation and delivering bespoke tax advice.
