Survey – What Do You Want From Your Recruitment Advisor?

Over the years, we have listened carefully to candidates to determine what it is they want in a recruitment advisory service*

    Trust

    door

We have been amazed that the issue consistently raised is that of ‘Trust’.

    • Candidates want to know they can trust a recruitment firm to behave professionally and with impeccable honesty in handling their affairs.
    • They want to believe that their CV will always be handled professionally, especially when it comes to the CV only being sent to employers with their express authorisation.

We have responded to this by making a commitment to candidates that their CV will only be sent out with their written approval.

Another aspect of a candidate’s aspiration to a trusting relationship with their recruitment advisor includes only being contacted with vacancies that match the candidate’s career goals, salary expectations and area of geographic preference.

Candidates don’t want to have their time wasted discussing vacancies or reviewing job specifications that are at odds with their own career objectives. This especially applies where client interviews are scheduled. Neither candidate nor client is well-served when they realise during an interview that the vacancy is not of interest.

    Expert Advice

We are always happy to meet with candidates, review their careers to date, and advise them on what career options will best serve their overall professional development. The car industry expression ‘the day you buy is the day you sell’ can be applied to career planning – the day you accept a new position is the day you should anticipate how that position will enhance your cv in years to come, should you decide to change jobs again.
